Electrifying Fishing Vessels: Oceans North

This documentary follows the journey of Oceans North and Membertou First Nation in Unama’ki (Cape Breton, Nova Scotia), who are partnering on a project to develop the first generation of zero-emission fishing vessels in Canada.

The science is clear: we need to reach zero emissions by 2050 in order to prevent the worst impacts of climate change. And while progress hasn’t been quick or easy, there are inspiring stories from communities across the country who are seeing the impacts and deciding to do something about it. This is the second episode of our series, Righting the Ship: Stories of Stewardship in the Atlantic Ocean, that highlights the work that fishers have been doing to advance conservation.
